He loves learning, having completed a bachelor's degree in Astrophysics, an MBA, and finally a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, focused on how to best train teachers to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds. He loves his gorgeous wife (Jennifer), his amazing children, rock climbing, Marvel movies, German food, really good books, and feeling the Spirit. More than anything else, though, he loves watching the Savior make a difference in the lives of others. |

Sandi Campbell

Sandi recently finished her Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Instructional Design, creating online classes. Her focus prior to that was Digital Technology, all things having to do with the internet. Her main area of study has been photography and video. She is looking forward to using and developing these skills in the Adaptive Needs Institute program. She started the Instructional Design program with the hope of being able to help bring people unto Christ. She is excited to join the faculty and testify of Christ. Sandi enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, mountain biking, quilting (beginner), and learning. She can quickly become absorbed when studying the gospel. |
Heather Pretlow

Heather Pretlow is a full-time educator for Salt Lake Valley Institute of Religion. She has had prior experience working with individuals with dyslexia, Down Syndrome, intellectual, and communicative disorders. She has found great joy in helping her students learn how to come unto and express their testimonies of Christ while teaching scripture-based classes, cornerstone classes, leadership, and planning activities. When not working, Heather enjoys spending time with family, friends, in the mountains, ocean beaches or in her garden. She also enjoys photography, strategy games, cooking and traveling. |
Cathy Millburn

Cathy is from Burlingame, California, and served as a full-time missionary in the Utah Salt Lake City North Mission 1980-81. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple and has seven children, including a set of identical twin boys. Cathy has been teaching Seminary and Institute for Special Needs for over 25 years, all over the Salt Lake Valley, and she is grateful for this privilege to work with our students. The Lord put her in just the right place at just the right time. What a wonderful journey it has been to teach Heavenly Father's best of the best! |
McCall Carson

Sister Carson has a BS in Early Childhood and Special Education from BYU- Idaho. She taught kindergarten and had a preschool in her home for many years, but thinks that teaching young adults about the Gospel is the very best! She has four wonderful children and loves following them around and supporting them in the things that they love. She also loves traveling and trying new and unique foods with her husband. Sister Carson loves helping young adults gain a testimony of Jesus Christ and giving every student a voice to share their thoughts and feelings. |
Chip Romney

Chip Romney loves his students! He has been teaching adapted needs seminary and institute for nearly 15 years. He loves to see students succeed in life by following gospel principles, and discovering the great love that their Savior has for them. Chip has a gift for relating to students with special needs having himself Suffered a head injury in adolescence which has lead him to discover for himself Gods love. He loves to inspire students to flourish and be happy despite the trials of life, and to enjoy the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. |
Adris "Mama" Goodwill

Adris Brundidge Goodwill, affectionately known as "Mama Goodwill," is an accomplished educator, business developer and holds an MBA. She enthusiastically addresses her students as achievers, Kings and Queens. She teaches them to research, study, and recall scriptures to build a personal relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ. Mama Goodwill guides learners to discover their preferred learning styles, empowering them to study more effectively. Her interactions with her students make it clear to them that she genuinely cares for them, and teaching style exudes the true love of Christ. Mama Goodwill’s motto is “Not my will, Lord, but Thy will be done.” |
